Alexander Teachers of the Mountain Region

(MFA, ATI) (Murphy, NC) is a professional actor, director, voice coach, and licensed Educator with decades of teaching experience.  A graduate of the North Carolina Teacher Training Program of Chesapeake Bay Alexander Studies (Marjorie Barstow tradition), she enjoys partnering with students as they learn to use AT to improve their overall coordination in any activity (such as singing, dancing, performing, playing an instrument, crafting, prenatal movement and rehearsal for labor, parenting activities, sports, and basic daily movement).  She regularly works with actors as the Voice and Text Coach for West Virginia’s Rustic Mechanicals Touring Shakespeare Company.  She is also an award-winning flatfoot percussive dancer.  She applies AT to her own daily life as a full-time parent and performer-educator freelancer.
